More realistic?
I was watching a video on youtube the other day and I saw someone who had changed their view somehow, I know it has something to do with the console.
Basically you can move the weapon closer or further away from your arm. Does anyone know what I type in the console to do this??

Re: More realistic?
Ever since I knew about that command I love using it. It's awesome to see more of the gun.

Re: More realistic?
I'm quite the opposite, I hate it. It's less realistic because in real life your vision doesn't "zoom in" when looking through the scope of a weapon, it stays the same. I've shot guns before and the only difference I've had with my vision was that I closed my other eye.[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:Ever since I knew about that command I love using it. Re: More realistic?
So it sucks because you can see more cool things like how the weapon reloads ?

Re: More realistic?
I can see how it reloads clearly. I don't know where your getting that from[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:So it sucks because you can see more cool things like how the weapon reloads ?

Re: More realistic?
You see it much better if you set fov to 80.

true, but it's still less realistic in two senses. One of them being that you can change your fov and two being that you can see more than you would see irl, but it mainly depends on the person to make that decision (the 2nd reason). I don't think that made much sense, but I cba to fix the wording.

Re: More realistic?
people in real life don't have a 80 degree fov?
What kind of peripheral vision do you have? I personally can see about 120 degrees pretty clearly.

Re: More realistic?
yup, but when the way that the 80 degree fov looks in game is unrealistic in my eyes, everything looks far too narrow.Soviet wrote:people in real life don't have a 80 degree fov? What kind of peripheral vision do you have? I personally can see about 120 degrees pretty clearly.

Re: More realistic?
Thats because you are looking at the game at about 30-40 degrees. If your eyes naturally saw 120 degrees of real life at 80 degrees of field of vision then it would also look squashed >.<Infinite wrote:yup, but when the way that the 80 degree fov looks in game is unrealistic in my eyes, everything looks far too narrow.Soviet wrote:people in real life don't have a 80 degree fov? What kind of peripheral vision do you have? Re: More realistic?
I suppose, but the game is more angled to look the best at 65 degrees fov otherwise 80 would have been the default fov, therefore i can conclude that 65 is the better choice (imo).Drofder2004 wrote:Thats because you are looking at the game at about 30-40 degrees.
