Wise words 2.

Not mine though this time: Hope for the best and expect the worse.
If you expect the worst in life, you can never go wrong :)

Being tired and a bit stressy doesnt mean ur stressed indeed. Everyone has their stressy days (in a test week, still have to make 2 reports etc.). But it doesnt mean you are stressed. When I get a little stressy I usually take a football and shoot on goal for 30 min. or so. Have done it a lot last weeks, but now the schoolyear is over :D

My wise words for the day :)
says the person who said you can't get addicted to WoW (right before getting addicted to WoW) It isn't that easy for everyone. Believe me, I am totally laid back at school, and the stress isn't really what gets me, it is the people around me and the knowledge that I am wasting my life at a place I hate learning useless and trivial things.

A lot of it is useless indeed, I used to think the same thing about school too. But eventually u find the education you want to do, and realise that some of the things you hated before (some, deffinatly not all of them:P) are kinda usefull.

A lot of what you learn in school, may seem pointless at first, but what you are indirectly taught is understanding. You will find those who refuse to be taught actually are not better off after school. Now this doesn't mean you must pass your exams to do well, this is about willingness to learn.

Take an example:
My cousin, refused to go to school, refused to learn and also suffers from dyslexia.
He is now 20, and unable to read or write.
A friend in school, willing to learn, turned up to classes no matter what they were taught and also had dyslexia, passed her A-Level English with an 'A'.

Another example:
Joined my class in year 8, came from a crappy background (lost both his parents and lived in Hackney through childhood), was fairly intelligent, yet was struggling behind the top of the class (far from bottom), after 1 year, he was top of the class in all his classes, he was given a scholarship to go to Eton (the school the royal family attend), has now passed 5 A Levels with his maths A Level being 98% correct.

Tell me how many people you know who are currently skipping most of their classes and are still intelligent, because I couldn't name one in my school.

I'm very "relaxed" when it comes to school. I didn't revise for my GCSE exams, which sort of showed in my results. I barerly did any revision for my AS exams. I have the "i'll do it on the night" attitude. I don't have great ambitions for life so i'm happy with coasting through college then doing a mediocre course at uni, to get a mediocre job.

If I really succeed and do well in life, then it won't be due to any effort on my part.

I'm quite drunk so i'm not quite sure how much ssense i just made.

Holland is suffering from 6's culture (0-5 not being sufficient, 6-10 being sufficient) and hardly everyone studies to get 8's, 9's and 10's. So I cant really give examples like drofder :D. But studies showed that it hardly matters because this world is very keen on dimploma's rather then grades. Allthough you shouldnt be looking to go to high end uni's like harvard.

If you study something for your future job, and you really want it, then you should give all you can do tbh.

Next school-year (In 2 months or so), I have to run 'stage' 2 periods of 20 weeks (That's 3 days work a week, 1 day school, 1 day self-study). And the third year is the same. But then I can run in a hospital etc.

Now this is my kind of stuff, learn it while you're really working.

Man, this stuff is so much easier to explain in Dutch :P

I agree. If people in the UK find school 'stressful' then they need a fucking kick in the backside. I can't speak for the American education system, but Soviet feels pretty strongly about it.

I found it tough, but never tough enough to get majorly stressed. Sure, I was nervous and stressed when I took exams, but I knew it would pass in time etc. In some ways I can see why some people get more stressed than average, but at the same time it annoys me when I see people getting stressed over such minor things. I also understand that I've never been properly depressed in my life, so I can't really speak from experience. All I'm speaking from right now is my own experience in which there's been a shitload of pressure on me to do well, and I've performed. If people stress over minor things then they need to re-evaluate their life (and not in terms of committing suicide!).

Am I the only person who suffered no stress, anxiety and etc while doing exams, I think the day of my A-Level maths exam, I pretty much laughed my way to a score of 5 out of 120 :P
