Someone hung themselves in the woods next to my school today. You could see the body from my school grounds

I havn't heard any news or found any articles on it yet. I drove past an incident the other day where someone had jumped off a road bridge.
My dad said loads of students kill themselves this time of year due to exam pressure/debts an that; and that that might be a reason for it. Mental world.

I didn't see them personally, but a mate said you could see the rope and the silhouette of their head and shoulders, before they closed the area of the school where you could see it from.
I overheard a conversation between the school caretaker and a teacher:
Teacher: Did it look gruesome?
Caretaker: God yes.
Apparantly the rope used was the same rope that a rope swing in the woods was made out of.

I didn't mean to offend anyone by posting this, if you meant that. I posted it more because it happened so close to me an that.
Quite a few things bad relating to my school have happened recently actually. The husband of a former teacher at my school is on trial today for her murder. You may have heard about this KS getting midlands news (Entwistle is the name). And one of my teachers' brother died in Afganistan last week.

I thought a kid was going to run in front of a car once, my heart jumped even though i was nowhere near it. He stopped at the last second. I wouldn't want to see someone die. Not that wanting to is a normal thing, but I would of looked away from the train aswell.

One of the caretakers at my old school was imprisoned for raping a 14 year old girl, and someone who was 4 years above me committed suicide by jumping off the Tyne Bridge (famous bridge in England).

What's wrong with the modern education system? If you're on about the stress it creates, I would disagree. Sure, some people buckle under the pressure, but it's no easier than the 'real world' when you're getting a job etc. If people can't handle schools then how can they handle past that? I don't mean this in a harsh way, it's just my opinion.

It's not only about school. That's one factor. I'm fairly positive that it's a collection of factor which leads these people tp suicide.
If you are depressed. Heavily depressed. Most times the only solution is death. That's the downside of depression, you think you are all alone.

School is only as stressful as a student makes it. One of my mates got shingles because of stress about exams.
I have a mate who has bi-polar. He can just suddenly flip from having a great day, to being suicidal. So anything that might increase that (exam pressure) is bad for him. He's been in hospital about 3 times for having over doses. His liver is absolutly ruined apparantly.

You must have some very happy people in the UK then. A lot of people I know can't stand school, and I have to actually use sick days away from school so I don't literally lose my mind. TBH if I wasn't agnostic I might have committed suicide by now. I know several others who cry almost every night because of the stress. Sure school is what you make of it, but there is only so far that it goes before it all depends on the people there, the severity at which it ruins the rest of your life, and your parent's pressure on you.

Anyone who suffers from stress about school needs to lay back a little, passing or failing at school is not always the end of the world or the start of an amazing career. You can fail and do better than those who pass.
Education is the key to success, but learning what they teach you at school is not.

I do skive lessons and days off school, mainly just for abit of a break. I'm usually quite tired and depressed when I get home from school, but that's what i expect from life.
