CoD MP problems
As I got a new family pc recently, I decided to install CoD1 on it so that I could on a better PC and play against friends over lan. The install goes fine, no problems whatsoever, however when I try to run CoD MP it comes up with an error, with the "Send Error Report"/"Do Not Send" options. Singleplayer works fine, it only happens on MP. I've tried running in safe mode but it still happens. I've reinstalled it and still get the same problem.
Any ideas?

becauscaus last time i had a warning, you need codec to view these movies (the chick on the pic was nice:P), i installed it but ofcourse it was just another crappy scripkiddie virus.

That's why my brother's computer doesn't need anti-virus software; 450MHz P3 doesn't meet virus's system requirements.

Why would I need to reformat/delete anything when the computer is pretty much brand new? It's got nothing to do with internet as I haven't even gotten to the stage of joining a server because CoD MP won't run in the first place!
It shouldn't be gfx problems because it worked fine with this graphics card on my brother's computer.

"pretty much" new is as good as saying it is old.
the reason I said format was because it is "pretty much" new. A format is a solution to all problems and possible future problems.
Failing that, I would get hold of some registry cleaning tools as I it is possible the computer has some conflicting registries.
It could be a lot of things, and it includes sound, graphics, internet, hardware, software, cables, configurations, registry, files, drivers (or lack of), and more....
Format is my solution

Yep Windows usually dont fix files that are missing, however a format sucks because you lose all your files, and I have 700gig of files spread over 4 HDD's so i'm not always likely in the mood of cleaning it up by formating. Maybe your problem is a Windows Update, or the d3dx9.dll file.
