Basically, I've been working on my map for quite some time now, but have come across a problem. I've just had about an hour's mapping session, and when I go to compile my map and test it NONE of the new brushes etc. are there. There were quite a few large cylinder brushes which were rather complicated, but none of them are showing (it's as though it's just using the old map file for the compile). I then decided to make a new brush in front of where I spawn to see if it would add that, and it didn't show up in-game after another compile.
I then decided to move the .d3dbsp from raw/maps/mp and compile again, but when building the fast file it came up with some error about unrecoverable file.
Long story short, I've gone back to my backup before the start of the session (I've learned from the CoD1 days to make sure I backup frequently!), and it seems I can edit that fine without problems. So, although technically it's no longer an issue, it would be nice to see if anyone can shed any light on the matter so that (a) I might be able to recover the hour of mapping I've effectively lost (when I load the .map I can see all the extra brushes etc. I made
