Re: Is This Possible?
Have fun. I've heard the iMax is a good cinema but the film is crap, hopefully they balance out

Re: Is This Possible?
I was somewhat disappointed at the IMAX (The footage wasn't as big as the screen...), but the movie was excellent overall, and one of the best I've seen in years. I would give it a solid A, but the story got a B-/C+ at best for me. I could have read a textbook about story-lines and then have filled in a few random ideas and have come up with a story just as good, or even better, than the one that Avatar had. The graphics, mainly being the 3D, boosted the movie up a LOT. I was amazed at how well they made you feel as if you were truly there. It was almost as if you were inside of the movie. I also find it hard to believe that James Cameron spent 15 years on this. Although it was one of the best movies I've seen for a couple years, I can't see more than 6-7 years being put into it. I believe that it was worth the money (being $15.50 iirc) to see it in IMAX 3D, but if you are one of those people who actually cares about the story line, it's probably barely worth your time.
My recommendation for this film: It's a must-see movie like the LOTR series (even if you first thought it was The Last Airbender at first, like me and zipperdude)

Re: Is This Possible?
A quality movie with a B/C quality story?
I struggle to comprehend how a movie can grasp an A rating with a poor storyline?
$15.50 is good for iMax cinemas, For Leicester Square Odeon, you pay £11.00.

I hope you don't enjoy popcorn with your movie!
£4.00 for an estimated 150g!
£5.00 for 3 scoops of Haagendaz (sp)
And they wonder why I prefer to pay £2 from a China man!

Re: Is This Possible?
lol. Where I go, they charge anywhere from $4-$6 for a smaller version of a box of candy which I can get at a local general store for $1. I always sneak in a box of Nerds when I go to the movies :S.KillerSam wrote:Yea these places are absoloute rip offs. I am the guy that goes in with my own Asda sweets to munch.

Been a while but I think it's around 7.50 euros here for an ordinary movie. But I might be a bit off.Drofder2004 wrote:I hope you don't enjoy popcorn with your movie!
