I think everyone here watched the new great , brilliant and best movie from all time "Avatar" by James Cameron.
So i wanna ask to someone who is creating the maps , could he create Avatar (Pandora) world for Jump map
this could be one of greatest thing to create

because i really love this movie

1. The movie is mediocre at best.
2. Any attempt at the replication of that world would be utter failure unless they dedicated literally thousands of hours to it, which I can assure you no one is going to do.

Something like the Shire or Minas Tirith can just be made out of brushes, but a Avatar map would require hundreds of models for all the different trees, with dozens of hours spent on each model. Either that or the map would take place solely within one of the human ships and, in that case, would be incredibly dull.
edit: On second thought, I suppose I can see plausibility in the floating mountains area if it was made for CoD4. There are enough grass and vine decals and models to pull that off and the mountains could just be terrain meshes. It would also fit the jumping thing quite well. Hmm...that actually sounds really awesome...

Its something thats not really worth seeing if you dont see it in theatres tbh. Since so much of its popularity relies on how stunning the visuals are, which you get the most out of if you see it in theatres

I heard that too, if you're going to watch it, watch it 3D.

I simply refuse to pay 11 dollars for a movie taht fooled me into having high hopes of it being a live action film of avatar the last airbender.
And because 11 bucks is a rip off when i can simply rent it on "On Demand" for 5 bucks and have 2 ppl or 15 ppl watch it for a low flat rate, or torrent it.
Show me what lies just beyond my eyes
Would you take me to the world where my spirit flies?
Tell me is that really fact or a pack of lies?
