(NEED HELP)How to join a certain server and how to do jumps.

How can I join one of the certain servers which are on the main page; the IP adresses. And how can I master strafe jumps by using: W,A,S,D. I have not got a controller.

There's many way to join the servers via the IPs listed on main page.

Easiest way has a lil requirement, make sure that "console" is enabled, to do so, go through options until you reach "game option" and you should be able to confirm it over there.
Once console is enabled, you may open it by pressing the key under escape, which will bring a sort of chat bar, simply type into it "/connect <IP>", e.g. "/connect 89.145.98.100:29260".
Press enter and you'll automaticaly join the server. ( Note: you'll need to be on 1.7 version, click " auto-update " if you have any doubt. )

However, if this may confuse you a bit, our great site administrator has made awesome features.
If you do not already have, download "Xfire" at [/url]www.xfire.com[url]
If you do not already have an existing user, sign up.
Sign in.
Click on any of the IPs listed on main page, they'll automaticaly added to Xfire favorites.
Find your Xfavorite location ( Should be the 3rd little picture on left, if default settings )
Select the server, and join.

The 3rd way is to mannually add servers to your favorite, to do so, follow the listed bellow steps.
Write down the desired IP on a paper, since you will not be able to copy paste it, using this feature.
Open up cod4, select " join servers ", toggle between "Internet/lan/favorite" until you reach favorites.
Select "add favorite", afterward, simply write the ip in the appropriate location, into the little window.
Refresh list, select your just added server, and click join.

Here you go, you've probably joined server somehow since now, lets talk about strafing.
I'd highly recommand watching some tuts but I understand they might be sometimes confusing, therefore, verbally explaining you might help.
Simply get a start position which is about 90 degree from your desired landing location.
Be sure to be at a decent distance from edge, e.g. 2-3 feet, be sure to have at least 5-6 feet or more, in front of you ( as you'll need a bit of space to run )
Start by running ( Holding w and shift key )
Wait 0.5 sec or so, dont do anything but running.
Start holding either A or D ( Hold which ever key which will turn you toward your desired landign position )
Turn your mouse smoothly, but be sure to reach edge in time, and to be facing toward your desired landing position.
Once you've reached edge, jump.
