Ok i have a few questions regarding recording and making movies.
1 Aspect ratio
I use a resolution of 1680*1050 ( 16:10 aspect ratio lets call it ar) when i record with fraps then i edit and render in vegas to a resolution of 1280*720 (16:9 ar) due to this i get black edges on my vids (ex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZVDTwz3RzQ&fmt=22) is there any way to fix this i'm no good at vegas but i supose you could fix it by cutting the bottom and top parts a littel but a better solution whould be to run cod at a 16:9 ar is that possible? any other ideas how you guys do?
2 cl avi demo?
I tryed cl_avidemo 60 and first i had no idea what to do with all those screens then i found somewhere a program that made it all do a 24fps avi file what was weird was that it originaly i recorded like 4 sec and i became like 10 sec slowmo :S also when i rendered it diden't became very good quility.
3 rendering
basicly what is best for youtube? what program what setting? currently i'm using sony vegas with some bitrate .wmv thing.

Re: various vegas and general vid questions
1: You can change your aspect radio ingame options graphics Aspect Radio: default on auto - switch it to 16:9
Are you using a laptop or a tft with 16:10 ar?
I 'm pretty sure u can cut it away or change the aspect radio, but maybe a vegas Pro will give u an answer
2: cl_avidemo Number save Number amount of pictures every second - but you have to tell your merge program the Number with which you have "recorded" so if you use 24 the program makes the video longer than it actually is - you will need that later maybe for slowmo etc.
3: Atze posted some good "tutorials" read this

Re: various vegas and general vid questions
at # 1 if i go aspect ratio 16:9 and resolution 1680*1050 and then render in vegas with 1:1 pixel ratio it feels like it wont make a diffrence to me but ill try tomorrow. Dan said something about that you could pick 1280*720 can anyone confirm this?
Ill look through the links thanks for replying
edit:
ok looked trough em atze crops em (cuts bottom and top) however i don't really understand the last one. Is it insted of rendering in vegas with like bitrat or codec you first render uncompressed then you compress like that?
