iPod isn't "just" an MP3. In fact, I mainly use my iPod to play games or watch movies or use the chat applications or take it with me to the bathroom when taking a shit so I can read news etc

I was thinking that, but I care/know little about iPods so wasn't sure on the legality side. Besides which, jailbreaking your iPod surely voids the warranty, so anyone who does it is screwing themselves over really. And finally, it links to an external video on YouTube so I hardly think Apple will launch a lawsuit against us - they'll just have the video removed.

I was just putting a few examples there, though. The iPod has much better specs than most phones (unless it's a £600 phone) and that makes it more worth buying an iPod than a phone of that price.

You really need to have an iPod/iPhone to know how big the entertainment range is of it. There are thousands of fun applications etc that you can download. Some of them even have PS2 graphics, which I find very impressive!

I'm never buying an Apple product again unless they absolutely amaze me with it. I've hated them ever since my iPod died about 4 years ago FOR NO REASON and would have cost £200 to repair.

I find it funny that every time an apple hater buys an apple product, it breaks. I've had my ipod going on 4 years, and it's been fine, I've dropped it a million times, and I'm not that careful with it.

I wasn't really an Apple hater before it broke. I wasn't particularly an Apple fan, although the iPod did make me like them for a while it was working (despite the absolutely terrible battery life). Then it broke for absolutely no reason while I was on a train sitting stationary, and I took it to get repaired and it was a hard drive failure and would cost £200 to fix!

I decided, fuck it, looked at the other mp3 players on the market and bought a Cowon iAudio X5L (ignore the i at the start, it's not Apple!), which hasn't failed me to date. And it still have an absolutely massive battery life - literally can take it on holiday for a week or so and not have to recharge it at all.

Looks nice, what's the battery life like? Battery life is one of the most important aspects to me.
