CoD in LAN -> "Error"

Hey guys (:

can somebody help me?

...yesterday we played in LAN (me and some friends..) and when i wanted to start CoD 4, nothing happens -.-
i got a black screen and the game-starting aborted

can somebody tell me, why it doesnt work?!

Not sure about what you mean

but when you start a lan server, your cod4 should close then a console will appear. So then you got to open cod4 again and join your server with your ip ( thecnically you opened cod4 twice without closing it )

If you were at a LAN, surely you could ask the people who run it?

Anyway, if you got a black screen then it could be a graphics issue - try updating graphics drivers etc (if we're talking about a home lan).

I remember myself having loads of issues when playing over LAN...

first: sorry for my english ;D

the problem wasnt the game for itself... a friend had the same problem, but he only had to change his lan connection (delete standart-gateway, etc) ..but when i did it the game didnt start -.-

but now (with internet) i can play like i did before Oo

maybe CoD isnt made for LAN-playing

i still go on
