I think they were trying to illustrate they are different from their past and do not support the previous Nazi ideals through the comic.

Thats the truth..and the only reason why they used crosses they wanna make some commercial for the movie. If you put up posters with swastika in germany it will be destroyed after minutes. In the trailer its not censored. Also i thougt its forbidden to show swastikas in public because its banned in videogames too in germany (but not in movies...dont know why ask politicians).
Stupid law i bought my german COD:Waw just for the key never used the DVD
