For those who havn't heard, Coldplay are being sued by Joe Satriani for "stealing" a part in their song.

The green day 'warning' one, i know a song JUST like those, cant remember it though. It might be by the offspring or someone like that. Maybe even green day. Its heavier than 'warning' though.

Most of these are indeed quite identical and I wouldn't say it's "stealing" their melody
It's more taking inspiration from other bands (but some are way too identical, like Bryan Adams vs Greenday)
