Remarkable!

Post by Azabael » August 3rd, 2008, 7:22 pm

I'm sorry that this article is Dutch.
But it's actually it's all about the fact that the German youth don't know anything about the DDR anymore.
And that is fucking remarkable in my opinion! How could it happen that they don't learn that at school while we do!

Here is the link:

O dear..

The DDR was communistic eastern Germany from 1949 till 1990. They were the reason of the big wall in Berlin!
When that wall went down @ 1989 november the 9th, Germany was finally reunited in 1990. Quite an important historical occurrence to be honest..

we learn about that in school? All Americans learn about in school is America. But that is just because America is so self-centered they can't possibly comprehend that anybody is near as important as themselves.

I havn't had a History lesson for over 3 years; and that year we learned mainly about English agricultural farming in the 1800's. A subject which is very relevant and useful to me in life and I am very pleased to of studied.

Yeah I only learn History from my own doing. I spent an hour+ watching a documentary on Tiananmen because I was interested about it. That's why I suck so much at school... because I chose mainly chose subjects I don't care for.
