They are aiming for the most downloads within 24 hours, world record. Do you honestly expect their servers to handle that amount of stress?

Yes in matter of fact I do. If they're aiming for making it the worlds most downloaded software within 24 hours they should be more prepared.

Take YouTube as an example. It takes at least 7000 times more stress than Mozilla's servers every day and still it manages to let people stream videos @ 200 kb/s.

youtube also had it built up over a vast period of time slowly as their user amount increased.

Also, take into consideration that Youtube is backed up by one of the biggest companies in the world and firefox is freeware.
