HELP.!!!!!!PC Sound Problems on New PC & a Bargin Print

Hay all
Got a problem with a NEW PC we just brough for the kids.

Problem is i cant get the sound to work at rear ports, ive tried everythink , they are plugged in correct ports befor you ask.
IVe gone thou all the settings and still notink. Only way i can get them working is thro the front case ports ie, a usb & Sound in ports, works ok that way, but rather have speakers running throu the back can anyone advise me what may be going wrong here, like i say ive tried every settings on the software setup.Onboard Sound does work or it would give sound at front, it just back issues, and it's not speakers or no sound would come thro the front setting.?Any IDEARS.??

I also have a miner problem with the monitor to, it has 1 dead pixel, so i maybe taking he monitor back for replacement, but would still like to get the sound issue fixed by tomorrow, dont want to take PC back coz it code Â£8 by Taxi for a 3 min drive from currys to my house.
I tried support, but phone line always busy.

Managed to get wireless networking up and running on my PC and New Kids PC.Just gota install New Cannon Printer and ger some software installed, and poxy sound issue sorted.

Oh PC is running Vista Home Basic

Derrrr, if it wasnt powered up how the heck would i know that the sound works from the front ports... Lol, try to ignore Yano, he likes pissing people off. Is there any drivers you need to install?

Nope just came with Monitor Diskm and monitor manual. Not even a Visa Backup disk with it.. drivers ment to installed when PC starts up, but i think it sucks when they dont givethe correct shit to install incase of issues like this.

Edited 10 mins later, 6 hours of trying to get rear ports for speakers to work and ive just this minute, about to give up, and they start fucking working...Fuck man 6 hours to get a set of speakers to work in rear ports, that sucks.

Wow, sounds a bit gay, no backup discs and 6 hours of labour over speaker ports. You should ring the company and tell them how shit there computers are

steve it sounds like sound port is defected, if u have a headset, try hooking it up and c if anything plays
if nothing still doesnt work, just send it back and get a new one. idk anything about sound cards (or anything cards, i actually have a life and dont learn and computer front and back

) so try replacing the sound card..if thats possible. hope u get it working man

Windows Vista eh? Grab all important stuff, format, install XP.
That's probably what all good pc guys will say. Or you could get an USB soundcard.

NOTE: i have said above it now working lol Front & Back, it may of been a Driver problem when it self installed.
I was thinking of formatting it and putting on XP, but if anythink goes wrong within the next 6 months i wont be able to take it back coz they probly moan that i shouldnt of done a format in the first place.

The monitor has a dead pixel. thinking of taking that back,as if one is dead it could cause more to go down.. Also the other thing is that the system is realy slow, after i installed what software i needed i did a disk defrag, and used a Tool called SpeeedupMyPC, but it still running very slow, shit my 3-gig processor is running faster than this New 4-gig system, maybe it could be coz the new system only has 512 meg ram, and shares with onbuilt Graphics card.???

Some places are funny about dead pixels (there is a tolerance of about 4-5 supposedly) but 1 pixel would piss me off, and considering you paid for it - I would want a perfect screen.

Well yA RIGHT THERE IT HAS PISSED ME OF..LOL soon as the monitor turns on there a RED dot about 1/2 way up over to the left, when system is running and ya got explorer on or running files/programes ya dont realy see any effects, but like you said ive paid for it and it shouldnt have faults on it.

I have spoken to Currys tech team phone line and they said there should be no problem taking just the monitor back and showing them the dead pixel problem and getting a replacement monitor (If still in Stock), it not to far for me to goto my local store where i got the PC system from, 10-min walk only, but i have a slight Cold and dont want to go out and make it worse just yet.lol still i think i have the 28-day guarentee returns, and im not to sure if currys is open tomorrow, Monday (Bank holiday i think) i think i cant wait to tuesday.

1: i stated the PC was for the Kids. PC working fine now just bloody slow for a 4-gig processor, maybe its thememory 512-DDR2 that they put is is making it run slow, as it shareing with the graphics card tats built in.

2: kids are realy ALIENS Not mine im still a Virgin...lol Dont now nothink about sex, dont know what the dangly bit between the legs is even used for apart for peeing out of...lol (JOKE)

3: kids (Aliens) not even using it yet, still in process of being software being installed, and printer configuration.
