COD2 master server list Help

hay, im not gettingthe list of Server on COD2 from the master server list, anyone tell me why and how to fix this problem please, was ok yesterday now it not working at all.. I changed port forarding to my newer ip, but i dont think that would effect it..

Tried to find help on google but no joy...
ive uninstalled & Reinstalled COD2 3 times, ive downloaded updated Punkbuster and still it wont show the list.
Plus when i try to run a server, no-one can see it or join it.. Help please

I dont think the config file is the problem as ive put it on my main folder and i still dont get the Game Server list, ie lit of servers onthe master ist.

this is what i mean no list showing..

EDITED, I also not connecting to any Game Servers Via GameSpy/Xfire ECT,ECT 1 out of 20 servers i connected to only via Xfire.
Whats happening here.????MY CS-KEY is ok,as the 1 server i did connect to verified my KEY

Oh, I thought you meant your server was not showing on the master list, rather than you not being able to see the master list.

I don't really know what could be causing it, other than the firewall possibly restricting access? Are you able to join servers using /connect?

Ok let start fresh.
1: ive uninstalled and reinstalled it like 5 times now, befor it was working great, all i did was change the RJ45 cable over the cable modem.
2: i did install COD4, but as that didnt work on this system i uninstalled it, Befor i did 1 & 2 game worked ok while other PC was working ,befor it packed up.
3: ive taken firewall off line and still nothink shows.
4: When i tried to run a server no-one could see it or it wasnt showing up on Game-monitor.but it was howing up on Xfire for me, but no-one else could see it on Xfire.
5: ive taken the port forwarding off, nad redone that fresh
6: made new Server config File.
7:Run game still no master list
8: run server, server shows in Local , i can conenct to that, no problem and play alone..
9:ive check game monitor and no see that it is listed , so i know it is going tho the router/Firewall
10: i also now see that people are trying to connect to my server , but due to he modes & extra map i have they disconnect quickly this didnt work at first..
11: though server works now and people can see me i can only Think that my 1.3 patch may not be working correctly, but i installed this 5 times on each install, using a differnt download patch.
12: I just confuzed why the master server is not working and why i cant connect to other servers.

If anyone has COD2 running on there PC could they send me a copy ofthere EXE file so i can see if there patch 1.3V works on my copy.?
Other than that im just F*cking stumped/. Is anyone getting there Server list on there game.?

I highly suggest to get the ASE too. I personaly never liked the CoD in-game browsers.

Well i realy dont know whats wrong with my COD2, im kinda pissed it dont work, i cant even join online servers via masterlist (that dont show) can join via Xfire either, and i cant join via connect/Controll pannel.

I dont think it is a router or firewall problem as i just install COD1 and that is working fine i get server list in game i can connect via list and play online, so whats the hell is fucking around with ~COD2.???

Anyone with any idears.

Don't tell me u did that and our now unable to find the server...

If you put that in your host file, then that is your problem. the host files STOPS activity to the ip (127.0.0.1 - local), so you cannot connect to the master server.

Delete the host file entry. Also just use xfire

Ok in my Host file i had (Which was already there when working but now stopped working had the following
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 cod2master.activision.com

127.0.0.1 master5.evenbalance.com
127.0.0.1 cod21.evenbalance.com
127.0.0.1 namreg.evenbalance.com
127.0.0.1 cod2master.activision.com
127.0.0.1 cod2-b.evenbalance.com
127.0.0.1 cod2update.activision.com
I delete the whole lot and still nothink , same problem. No Master list, no connections to any servers..? What now.?

oh i also had this file (Hostsagb)
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 cod2master.activision.com

I removed that to, and still nothink

Check if wins settings are correct. Also i remember some problem with "smartcard" stuff. so look for that on your network card.

This was one of the coses u could not refresh the in game server list.. Need to think about the problem now.. I'll let u know if i know something else..

Found that, unchecked the Smart Card Box, and still nothink, still no server hosts list, still cant connect to any COD2 server.

Next Option.??
