My TEST server with SavePosition, will it work

hay all

Im puttin putting my COD4 server on today with the Save Position mod on, and wanted to know if anyone was wanting to try and connect with there Saveposition mod to, i just want to know if 2 PCs with this mod can connect and use it online. MAX PEOPLE ALLOWED 8 people

I know were all waiting to see if CodJumper is going to get theres online soon, but thet seem to be having a small mina prob getting it to work, so untill then, if anyone want to try and join my server i have it up and running for an hour,maybe 2 hours from 6pm till 8pm

I also have it online now from 1:30pm till 2:30pm, as im just messing around on BackLot right now.

my ip: 82.44.100.126:28960 Password :jump Server will be passworded to stop idiots who love to just come on and Piss around and shot us..

To join start up CODJUMPER patch. click JoinGame open Password box, type JUMP then open Console enter IP, connect, and play

To open Console so you can enter ip: goto Options in Main menu, select Game options, slick Console on, then back to main menu join game ,ect

so come join us for a litle jumping around. 82.44.100.126:28960 server Password =: jump Thats (JUMP-lower case_)

This is just a TEST to see if we can connect to each others PC's with SavePoistion tosee if it works or not.

Surely if the mod is on then it won't be possible to shoot others?

True there, but i just dont like idiots being on there.lol only for CodJumpers only..

Server will be on this afternoon, as i closed it now after 1 hour, and no connections..

If you put it up now I'll test it - this is the only time during the day that my ping isn't 1000+

hi sorry had to nip out to start the cooking..
if ya stil lthere i put the server back on i think i left the Password out this time try it, if PWD is required it's (jump) without ythe()

Works.. when i connect with shortcut "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set fs_game mods/codjumper and the type in /connect 82.44.100.126:28960 I can use the save mod.

This was when he was not connected to the server so i'm the only one there..

yo.

ok here it is.
1: running a server from the NO dedicated didnt seem to work,
2: running set as Internet seemed to work, as St.Anger tried is and got SavePosition to work.
3: Not tried as Lan yet, doubbt that will work.??

Thing is when it was working set for internet, players like ST.Anger could connect and use the MOD, I couldnt connect myself, i had a Script error at first, then after it said~For High Ping Users Only.@ lol High ping... shit..

So how can this now be solved.? any idears.??

Editied 2 mins later..time 4:24pm.

Another Edit..

When i connect i can use Saveposition myself, when others connect they cant.
If i leave server myself players than can use the Saveposition.
If i try and reconnect i cant.

just tried to reconnect to server and guess what im on lol, no high ping crapp.

Will leave server on for 30-min, if anyone see's this message befor 5pm could they try connecting to the serverwith there Saveposition shortcut.

well it's like this.

When u are on I can't save, damage mods works for nade most of the time for falling (sometimes u die) shooting 'll kill u.

When he left the server I still can't save when I reconnect I can. Needs more testing.. I;ll set up my own server with my other PC for testing..

yea ok let me know when ya going to test it out on your server, i see if i get saveposition working on yours or not.. just tell me what time ya be doing it.. im putting mine on again maybe 7-9 if we can get someone to figure out this problem befor 7pm...lol . if not then i wont bother..

I think like you said 1st one there get the active mod, notsure aout others as no othrs with the mod came on while you was there to test it. but we do know if a server is running you can have active mod if the host/admin dont login. will a 2nd person also get a active mod if admin dont come in.??somethink we can try maybe later or tomorrow

Correct, seem like only the HOST (server owner) gets the Saveposition no one else if he's online.BUT
IF i start server and a player goes on 1st then he gets the privs of the saveposition only if i dont connect also we dont know if more than 1 player gets the saveposition if Host/Admin is off line but server running..

The other thing is when i set up server, if im not online and players are on i cant seem to connect most times, says either High or Low Ping users only,so i need to be online on the server to play..???then when player come on they can save there moves coz i haver the privs..lol
