COD4 multiplayer

So I got cod4 and as with every other fucking game I got that has to do the slightest bit with internet. I cant play it properly. When I try to connect to a server it gives me this:

Then I tried to create my own server with PB and this kept happening and lagged me like hell:

Try forwarding all CoD ports in your router, closing down your firewall(s), closing down other on-line applications (browser, msn, limewire, etc...)

I know how it happens i can't connect, ports not forwarded. So be shure to check it.

Allowed to game by the firewall.. turned off the firewall. turned off MSN. turned off xfire. turned off internet browsers. turned of anti-virus. But as I knew before I tried, it didnt work.

Keep reconnecting, most people get that.

Type this in console (makes it go to 30 instead of 10 on awaiting connection):
/cl_connectionattempts 30

Typically when I try and join a server, it does 'Server connection timed out" about 2 or 3 times, and I have to keep doing /reconnect. Eventually it should say "Setting up game" and then join the server.

Yeej, that works.. Now I just gotta get that FUCKING PB running.. I fucking hate playing in those fucking laggy fuck cheater server

Some quick research 'facts'.

- There is only 1 known Hack for CoD4 at time of this post.
- Ranking has already been hacked to be able to rank all the way to max, although it does take a while, no where near as long as normal.
- Hacking challenges has also yet to be done.

I know there are no cheaters 'yet', but all servers without pb are laggy, you have a ping of 70 or so, yet you keep getting connection interrupted. It sucks.

So I called the guy who fixes our computer if he could take a look. And it turned out the update was blocked by an other firewall (one that he and I did not put on the pc :s).
And now it works.. That also fixed our problem of not being abled to connect to steam.
