The town I live in has a military airbase in it :)
When u drive by oftenly F16 fighting falcon's come flying over really low (not that low though), but the start of the run way is like 100 meters removed from the road...
They also give shows every while, this weekend theyre racing an F16 vs a spyker F1 car..

I live near Newcastle airport, and we often go down the road and see planes going low across the road above us for landing/takeoff :)
