Some new cod 2 jump maps on their way?

Post by Coontang » March 26th, 2007, 7:12 pm

I know there are new jump maps (jm_bigescape, jm_mall, jm_rod etc) but cant someone just create a plain jumpmap?

cod 1 jumpmaps = 133

cod 2 jumpmaps = 22 :?

Now if someone created say 5 jumpmaps in a short period of time, say a strafe gap one, a tower like one etc. Whats wrong with that?

I hope some expert can provide some easy plain maps please?

because there is no fun of doing such boring maps and there is not the challange of doing sth new -> new ideas i think every mapper wants to make something new and unique

Yeah, It's the big True :D:D
Why CoD1 have plain maps?
I think:
1. - the creator is newbie in mapping, but he wants his own jupm map :D :D
2. - there is a lot mapper who, makes only cod1 maps :S (example: Nightmare :) )
3. - in CoD2 there is only: Strafe jump, Nade jump, Crouch Strafe jump :)
in CoD1 there is: Strafe, Nade, Crouch, Ladder, Sprint+Strafe Jumps, And Ladder tricks :D

im actually just starting my first project. Its its called 'jm_gapsrace'

It is some average jumps in one huger room. Its nothing special, but its just really to get used to the radiant engine....

I just need a few tips on the VERY BASIC scripting i need. At the finish i want it it say in yellow 'well done you finished!'.

How would i achive this?
