need some help

hey all, i need some help with cod2 when i start it up and try to change the graphics to a bigger size and clikc apply my game crashes and says i got a directx error but when i just start it up and join a game it works fine it just crashes when i try to change the size plz help me

I had this problem, update your video drivers. Then you will be able to change the size back to normal

I've got the same problem, thought it went away but then it came back and now i'm stuck in a really low res and cant change it. Tried updating drivers and reinstalling directx.

You're right, works when I close xfire. Don't fancy doing a system restore, but thanks

I checked the xfire forums and theres quite a few threads about this recently. Should get fixed in one of the next updates though.
