2 gfx card problems and cod problems

i have problems with my 9800 pro and my 7800 gs, both in seperate systems.

9800 pro: when the computer restarts, it gives an error that reads "the power extension cable has not been plugged in to the 9800 pro, RTFM" and all i do is nudge the 4-pin connector in the card a little and it works.

7800 gs: getting somewhat good fps, but i would get better fps on the 9800 pro that was in here on basically the same settings (bilinear instead of trilinear) on CSS. it might be due to the temperature (idles around 52 C), but i don't know. i also get worse fps on this computer in DoD:S (specs: 2.8 ghz P4, 1 GB ram, 7800 GS, 160 gb HD) than on the other computer (specs: 2.1 ghz athlon, 512 mb ram, 128 mb 9800 pro, 160 GB HD), and are almost on the same settings (7800 GS is running trilinear, 9800 pro is not). is there anything i could download to clear out anything that might be causing this, such as a program that clears out anything bad in my registry?

cod&UO&CoD2: whenever i double click the icon or join a game through xfire on any of these games, it takes at least 4 minutes just to start up the game, then once it finally loads i have to load the map and stuff. anyone know why it might be doing this and how i can fix it?

hambones do you have the latest driver? or did you install the cd that came wit the card? Because those can be old, you might want to go to the companies website and dl the most updated card.

i have the 81.98 forceware drivers, i'm pretty sure they're the latest final (not beta) drivers
