Little NadeJump Script

Post by SmOoth » February 20th, 2006, 4:26 pm

Hi,

5 Minutes ago I got this idea. Just a simple script for a nadejump.
I thought 3 or 4 lines would do the job.
Like this:

Code: Select all

+frag
wait 350
+gostand
I don't know if the timing is correct(something like that).

But when I exec he just holds the nade and doesn't throw it...
Does the throw nade command use another command or an extra line or something?
Or is there already a Nadejump-script?

Thanks,

SmOoth

Edit: Never mind. I got it. Just add a -fraag to it. (Sorry I never scripted before).

Edit 2:

Code: Select all

+frag
-frag
wait 725
+gostand
-gostand
This one works to get on the roof in villers-bocage.

Problems with scripts are the wait commands rely on server framerate, no command can time exactly 4 seconds and therefore no script can work as well as your own brain can.

There is a simple technique to nadejumps, that works EVERY time. Using the ingame clock.

Look at the clock, as soon as it hits a certain number throw the grenade, make sure you tap the throw grenade button (do not hold the nade and wait for the time, as it will not work). For example, wait until time says 4:15. Tap G or whatever your nade button is and then wait until the time says 4:11 (exactly 4 seconds) and press jump.

Simple.

Yes, I noticed that.
So this script is pretty much useless.

I know I can probably find the answer somewhere else on the site, but how do you get the in-game clock to appear on your screen?

it should automatically be there, either in the bottom center, or upper left corner, depending on the gametype. (unless of course you are playing in a server with no time limit set, then no clock will appear)

Oh, just the normal timer, of course. :P I thought you were on about some kind of server-side clock that you had to draw on your screen like you do your FPS.
