Demo Bugs

Post by Drofder2004 » November 11th, 2005, 3:56 pm

Quite a few (infact most) CoD2 demos are not working (the links are invalid).

Other problems...
-Breakout has 2 "Breakout1" files and no breakout5 (there is a 6)
-Burgundy 1 and 2 are the same? (same jump, 2 different demos) [havent checked properly]

You say it as though it is my fault :D

I don't see anything wrong with the Burgundy jumps Drofder.

As for the fact that most of the demos aren't working, I'm not entirely sure as to why - will investigate...

Could you give an example of a demo not working?

Burgundy jumps both show the jumps basically. One is a jump to the little balcony and one is a jump to the balcony + hidden rooms. (Thats what I get from not watching any ways :P)

And example = carentan3

Bah, I havent watched em... :P

Just from the description they seem pretty similar.

Anyway, back on subject...
Looking at the directories it seems that thed emos are not uploading correctly or at all for that matter. A lot of CoD2 folders are empty.

Correct, I am the only one who can fix it :) Well actually Destiny is able to, but seeing it's my job here :P

Some of the directories are empty because there are no demos for those maps (hence they do not show up on the list of maps with demos on the site). I'll check it out now.

OK, I don't know why, but some have uploaded and some haven't. Also there seems to be a dawnville1.dm_1 file in the Breakout directory lol.

grrr this is so mind-dullingly confusing!

There were two Breakout1's for some reason... so I have renamed the latter one to Breakout6. However there is now no file for Breakout5 :? Anyway, here are the problems I have discovered:

No Demo Files:
Breakout5 - Murphy
Carentan2 - Murphy
Carentan3 - Murphy
Dawnville1 - Murphy
Farmhouse5 - Noodle
Farmhouse6 - Noodle
Farmhouse7 - Murphy
Farmhouse8 - Murphy
Leningrad1 - Murphy
Leningrad2 - Murphy
Railyard1 - De$t!nY

Murphy, Noodle and De$t!nY, do you guys have the demo files still? If so, send them to me and I can upload them and fix this mess :P

There is a dawnville_1.dm_1 in the Breakout-COD2 directory, link here: http://pedsdesign.com/codjumper/files/d ... lle_1.dm_1 - is that the Dawnville1 file? If so, then I can place it where it is meant to be. The thing is that the Dawnville1 demo is meant to be .rar instead of .dm_1, so I don't know. You three need to get back to me ;)
