New PC

Post by ultralala » March 16th, 2011, 4:39 pm

yay, finally i can also create a topic like this. After years of upgrading my old rig and latest troubles i had i finally decided
to get a fresh new system. Hopefully it will help me over the next few years(with upgrading aswell).

ASUS Rampage II Extreme
i7-950
GeForce GTX570
Mushkin DIMM 12 GB DDR3-1600
Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500 GB
Western Digital WD10EARS 1 TB
Trust 570 Watt
a Case^^
a DVD Drive^^

and the usual other parts. Its not really high end but it was all i willing to pay (~1000€)
Got this parts in one single store. Could save around 150-200€ when i would buy it in differnt online-stores i guess

Do yourself a favour, and RIP THAT "PSU" out of the PC. Trust is NOT a brand I wouldn't even get close to my PC. High ripple values, crappy efficienty and 570 "fake" watts. The values are spiced. And dont look at the "wattage" of a PSU when buying one. Look at how many A it can put on the 12V rail. Thats the important one (CPU, mobo and GPU use the 12V rail).

Get a Corsair.
