I lol'd at the Get Your Avatar pun.
And this isn't much once you've seen a male enhancement pill ad on an irrelevant website.

Well, given that they presumably track IP addresses that click, I don't want to screw myself over.Drofder2004 wrote:You use adblock plus on your own website running adsense?Pedsdude wrote:No, I use Adblock PlusXpayne wrote:anybody else got this ?

You numpty, not everything is based on clicks, you get small additional extras for your impressions as well as click.Pedsdude wrote:Well, given that they presumably track IP addresses that click, I don't want to screw myself over.
It is hardly in there interest to track IP for the use of filtering impressions, the size of the operation would outcost the price they pay out.
Do you do any research?

I wasn't suggesting they would track the IPs of impressions, just those who click the actual links. And no, I don't do any research.Drofder2004 wrote:You numpty, not everything is based on clicks, you get small additional extras for your impressions as well as click.Pedsdude wrote:Well, given that they presumably track IP addresses that click, I don't want to screw myself over.

The point I was making, was that by blocking the add, you are losing out on several hundred impressions. Impressions pay... not as well as clicks, but they still pay.Pedsdude wrote:I wasn't suggesting they would track the IPs of impressions, just those who click the actual links. And I answered the point relating to IP as an off point to cover any reply.
