I'm in the market for a good laptop that's not too expensive but is decent in terms of CPU and GPU power. My budget is around 700€ which is rougly 620GBP(says Google). I'll mostly be using it for Uni work, modeling(Maya) and probably gaming.
Also, since I'm quite new to the field, what are the better brands of laptops? I keep hearing that HP is a very decent manufacturer and that I should avoid Asus. As it's a farily big investment for me I'd like to be as certain as possible I'll get my moneys worth.
So, what would be the best laptop for me?
Recommend me a laptop!

HP is good, acer has some pretty good stuff. Also, Gateways are now made by HP so if you see a good deal on one of those it's also a good option.

Right, I'm leaning towards HP myself. Was looking at one of these:

as my funds have expanded to an additional 200-300€ so I'm probably going to get this one.
