Agree. I dont like most of the maps even its a listen or dedi but otherwise i would like to see a good s&d server with proper pings. On rarely good maps like Karachi, Favela, Scrapyard and Skidrow. It should be a good preview of what we get with Black Ops. If you mislike MW2 with Dedis you wouldnt like Black Ops i think

I know I don't think I'm going to like Black Ops, just hoping that they prove me wrong :)

Nah, the taste in games and willingness to admit mistakes is so terrible here that it will be quite a while before they're willing to accept reality again.

I'm not going to buy the game now that dedi servers are seemingly possible, Black Ops is round the corner so it'd probably be a complete waste of money.

I can remember another "I told you so" moment not so long ago...

I will be buying the game simply because there is fuck all else in the gaming scene in this genre I want... and CoD4 can only last for so long.

Yes, providing the ability to purchase ingame items that can also be crafted, found, or traded related to paying for DLCs is definitely equivalent to pointing out numerous issues in a game for months ahead of its release to only have everyone buy the game on release and start complaining about the issues that were being pointed out beforehand

It's also worth noting that TF2 has had over 140 FREE updates since its release, and that update came with a FREE trading system, and came out soon after a number of Valve games were released for FREE on the Mac. Additionally, Portal was FREE for several months before that. Also, soon after that release Valve released a new DLC for L4D1 and 2 that added 2 campaigns FREE. Additionally, since the release of the FREE DLC The Passing for L4D2, they have been testing new game modes EVERY WEEK for FREE.

Alternatively, since MW2's release, it has successfully released 2 FREE patches, and 2 DLCs, each valued at $15, both of which, I should notably add, contained maps from CoD4.

So, to recap, TF2 content has grown by about 5x since its release and has had sales as low as $2, and only now starts allowing players to buy some of the massive amounts of content they have released, as well as finding, crafting, and trading for it. MW2 has added a large number of maps for a ridiculous price considering most of them are rereleased. Oh, and they have yet to have a sale on the actual game although just about every other game that has come out on Steam has had a sale, especially if it uses Steam technology. The two are not even remotely comparable.

Oh, and...
