I guess it's not too bad if it's 2 types of insect that are likely to face each other in the wild and fight anyway, so it's hardly like a snake vs. a rabbit, but still I do feel somewhat guilty!

And I've seen some scorpion movies on youtube and when something is stung you'll notice it very fast.

Yeah, I think the beetle won due to his armor that shielded him from the only dangerous part of the scorpion, the tail.
