New Computer

Post by BatterY » August 17th, 2010, 5:48 pm

So i'm getting a new computer and my overall budget is 1050€, no more. I'd like to have a good computer that will reach 333fps in CoD4 all settings to max but is VERY silent.

Assembly #1

Case: Nexus Caterpillar Silent Case
Power source: 750W Chieftec CFT-750-14CS
Motherboard: Intel DH55TC mATX H55 S1156 DDR3 GBLAN
Processor: Intel Core i5 660 3.33 GHz 4 MB LGA1156 boxed
RAM: 4 Gt Kingston DDR3 1333 MHz CL9 (2x2 Gt kit)
HDD: 500 GB Seagate Barracuda SV35.5 7200 rpm SATA2 16MB
Graphics card: Ati Radeon HD 5750 PCI-E 1 GB GDDR5 Silent
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM FI(finnish)

Total Cost: 990€
Assembly #2

Code: Select all

Case: Antec Three Hundred
Power source: Chieftec 700W
Motherboard: Intel DP55WB
Processor: Intel Core i7 860 4 cores
RAM: 4096Mb Kingston DDR3 1066 MHz (2x 2Gt)
HDD: 1 Tb Sata II 7200 rpm
Graphics card: Ati Radeon HD 5850 1GB

For now, only 2 options. If you post your own, please include shipping to finland in to the budget.

The first one is a better choice, I assume these are prebuilt? The only issue I have with the first one is the Seagate harddrive. Seagate is pretty unreliable nowadays, it would be much better to go with something like Western Digital.

It looks good and from my estimates that price isn't bad at all. I approve.

On stock maps? Probably not. Your graphics card isn't good enough to ensure that.

Possibly, I'd still say your video card would be bottlenecking system performance for you though.
