Blizzard heading in the same direction as Activision ?

During this expansion, Blizzard added several features which cost real money. They've added in-game pets for real money. You can buy plushies and also get the plushie in-game pet. And the last one was a very fast flying mount you could also buy for real money. Now those aren't features which give you an advantage over other players but you're paying real money for useless features.
This mobile Auction House which costs around 3 dollars each month (Added on top of the normal monthly subscription) does give players an advantage.
It's a good company, but now they've finally added a feature which gives other players an advantage.

It was just a matter of time, Activision and Blizzard merged in 2008 so I'm not really surprised. It's odd they waited two years for it but it was inevitable imo.

I'm not surprised either. I'm just worried what the future will bring.
A while ago there was a Blizzard auction going on some website.
It had WoW + both expansions (All collectors edition) some plushies iirc, 2 very rare TGC (One still goes for hundreds of Euros on e-bay, the coolest looking mount in-game) and probably something else I forgot. I think it went for 4000+ Euros the last time I checked.
It's kinda insane what people are willing to buy for something you can't do shit with, apart of showing off...

Shitloads.
Blizzard made over a bloody million euros/dollars on day one by selling the first mount. By now they've probably earned that x5.
It's fucking nuts.

I guess almost 15-20 people in my guild have most likely purchased these or plan on it...Azabael wrote:Who wants those pets anyway. (except the ninja one)
