I would heavily disagree with CS being the defintion of online gaming.
What about Quake 3 and MoH released retail the year prior to CS?
And most modded gameplay, maybe, but only because it started as a mod in the first place.

The Quake 3 engine was, as far as games being actually modeled off of it without regard to engine similarities I'd have the disagree. However, disregarding engine similarities most games nowadays follow the CS pattern over the Quake pattern. Also, it's the most heavily modded because it's so easily modifiable. Granted, I am talking about the Source version which was released 3 years later.

Yea.. But in CS:S you see them walk in a narrow hall with 3+ persons. Then one guy shoots at them from a distance. I'm not saying it's easy to do, but perhaps the game must not bore you if you want to enjoy a fragmovie of that game.
Whether or not this game is the basic for later games or it's the definition for online gaming, who fucking cares if it's out-dated or just not interesting enough anymore to watch a fragmovie of it. Respect for the game's history, but my view towards that fragmovie won't change for that.

Counterstrike is one the best FPS of all-time. The game doesn't suck. I don't like it but it doesn't suck.

MoH:AA, UT99 and CoD1, some of the best FPS ever made.
