Hey guys when i try to load a custom map I first get the custom map load screen but when that is done it starts loading backlot does anybody know how to fix this?

You don't have spawn points for the gametype in which you are trying to load the map.

The custom maps downloaded from here are jump-maps, most of them only have FFA (free for all) spawns, try to switch to free for all or use the codjumper mod first, then you should be fine...
