That can very well be Vegas. I also use Vegas. It's adobe after effects you can use to add extra effects to it. Or like I do, Spicemaster. It helps you make insane transitions. Photoshop is also used to edit/create incredible visual things. But to stick to your mainquestion, there's nothing wrong with vegas in my opinion!

Depending on what you want to do, there are a lot of editing programs which you can use. I am actually currently using Sony Vegas 8, 3D Studio Max 9, Adobe After Effects CS3, and Adobe Photoshop CS2 for an upcoming frag movie which I plan on spending 50-100 hours on :). Depending on how you use Sony Vegas, it can be one of the best video editing softwares for simple videos.

Well when i use vegas i dont see things to enhance video stuff, all i see is transitions (which wont work) And the content i can add in. Im looking to make like a cooler type mainly for an intro. But idk how to do that im pretty inexperianced in editing rofl.

I made the "Infinite Productions Presents" part all in Sony Vegas :S. That's just an example, but you can create various introductions with Sony Vegas alone. I used a tutorial and went off from it to make that one, but you can definitely make a complex scene with Vegas alone. If you need a lot of help, then go to youtube and look up a few tutorials, but please do not copy them directly. I hate it when I see After Effect intros copied directly from videocopilot.net with only the text changed :S.

I recommend you to first watch some tutorials. And when you get a little wiser, and know exactly what you want, we can truly help you.

Ok I think it is safe to say, I do my fare share of editing and tbh I only use 1 programme :D. I used to use Vegas 8 Pro, but recently I’ve started to use Vegas 9 Pro. I have found that it has many more editing setting and allot easier to use. So imo I would stick to Vegas 9 and that is all you need :D. I have never been able to master "A Effects" as it is to confusing to me :D. I stick with what I no.
I have watched many different tutorials for vegas, but now im so used to it, I can just work it out for myself. So yes, I do think you should watch a few tutorials :D.
