The Mayan calender is incredibly accurate and stops on 2012 (Dec 21), but there has been nothing, no evidence or Mayan rumour, that says 'end of the world', they simply just ended the calender..

There are a lot of myths and stuff that say earth is gonna be destroyed in 2012.. One I know of, says that an unknown planet will bump against earth.. Personally, i dont believe it..

Theories of the sun expanding and any other phenomenon or theoretical end to the earth can be questioned. What is there to say that we do not invent a machine that allows the sun to stop expanding for example, or a method of feeding the sun with a renewable gas source or simply building a giant protective layer stopping all harm... etc etc.

What we know of the world ending is predictive and based on scientific theory (often very well backed up also), but what we do not know is what is to come.

The likelihood is that eventually the world will end, but there is no proof and therefore it is questionable.

lol at the spagetti monster . I would haete to live to 100. HAve u seen how they get i feel sorry for them, the other day i was in a driving lesson and this little old granny was going to cross the road, so i let her (ofc ) And by the time the light had turned green, she hadent even enterd the road So i waited 5 mins for her to cross like 5 meters... And sam your right it would be impossible for a planet to reach earth in 3 years. What it takes the earth 1 year to orbit the sun and thats over like a maximon of about 300000000 km, but thats in a circle or overall. So if a differwent planet were to do that distance but in a straight line it would take alot more than 3 years to reach us surely :S.
