Why do you act like you were the stupidiest person on earth? Anyone can argue, quite being so negative and show your opinion using proper sentences, and your arguments will sound as clever as theirs.matt101harris wrote:lol i wish i was clever enough to argue/debate like u guysooo very interesting

Fine, I just realised that "NDA" thingy, which I do not know the signification of, might mean something like unable to tell everything away and w/e.Drofder2004 wrote:I was thinking it, you said itInfinite wrote:... *facepalm*

Please don't think the entire mM community is flocking here to defend ourselves, I just felt like I needed to post. Didn't realize we were so disliked :S
Just to clear a couple of things up -
I'm pretty sure they would have flown you guys in as well, but being outside of the U.S. was a huge deal with us too. We have a member in the U.K. that we desperately wanted to bring but there were some legal issues on their side that they couldn't circumvent.
Also, not sure which site has better glitchers, but I feel like in this case it was irrelevant, mostly because of the goal they were trying to accomplish. Only reason they chose us was simply because updating the PC version is a lot easier than updating the console version. If you think about it, when updating the PC, you're only dealing with IW and Activision, there's no third party to intrude. When it comes to the console, IW has to submit their patch to Microsoft, which then audits it, tests it, goes through the entire approval process, then it gets pushed to consumers. And even with a console patch, the limitations of what they can and can't adjust are much tighter than on the PC. Same goes for every other game console. Reason I'm saying this is a huge factor is because if something goes wrong on the PC, it's not a terribly big deal, seeing as its much easier for them to patch it up in the future, whereas with the console version, this is nearly the finished product. If that weren't the case, I'm positive you guys would have been invited, it's not a matter of who's more valuable.
As for your frustrations with their ability to contact you, I don't blame ya
He invited us on a Saturday to take a plane down to LA on Tuesday. We dropped everything and started packing, and even then, we didn't get final confirmation of whether or not we were going until Tuesday afternoon.
Nowww for the concerns over how we manage the site. As Rezzzo said, although we have 1.5k premiums, its only a fraction of that number that have actually paid. We tend to be pretty lenient with giving these things out, I believe I gave one to pedsdude back in the day (not sure though, don't quote me on it
). We accept the microsoft points so the administrators and moderators have some type of compensation for their work, and just to give you an idea, the last time I've personally accepted one of those has been over a year.
Pedsdude, I'm not sure how much you're paying for your hosting, but the difference is that you guys are hosting game replays, which I'm guessing normally don't exceed 100k. Each one of our videos takes up 4-30mb, which equates to a lot of bandwidth usage. We have a dedicated server because we've been kicked out of several shared hosts and VPSs before due to CPU usage and bandwidth usage (read: Unlimited bandwidth in the hosting business does NOT actually mean unlimited bandwidth)
Also, the site (and accompanying business logistics) you see right now were created two years ago, when I was 17. I was naive, didn't have any business experience, and didn't realize it'd get to the point where it is now. I've had a bit more experience now and have plans to change things up quite a bit, which I'm sure will rid you guys of several of your concerns. I've been trying to develop the new site along with new business model, but my college/work schedule has been squeezing every ounce of free time that I once had, making it extremely hard to stay focused and finish it up.
Sorry for this essay of a post, but hopefully this clears the air a little.

Rishi I

Stop asking them questions, if they slip up with NDA policies, it will completely ruin future beta testing...
I have a dislike for the site taking money for what they shouldn't. Nothing personal, but thats just the way it is.
Over here, everything is free. The mods, the maps, the demos, the videos, the forums.
I am sure as KS said, there is much we both could offer each other, but until the site is run in a way I see fair to your viewers I have a dislike for it.
As for the beta testing, don't get me wrong, I am annoyed we didn't get the opportunity this time round and I know why. The USA have had very strict working policies for years (2001?

I wouldn't say you are worse glitchers, I would say you are not the candidates I would put forward as glitchers, but we also have to remember, that the reason you were there is not only testing, but publicity. There is nothing more exciting for anti-glitchers to see than IW employing them to "solve the problems".
Also, if you have problems with juggling shit hours, talk to Peds and KS and see how they get things done around here (slowly and inefficiently)
Anyway, feel free to come battle your grounds any time, at least your post was structured and had some meaning, discussions can often lead to the feeling of bullying a disabled kid.
