Ha, just because soviet owned you with them. And, why should we all have to 'understand' your posts due to being stoned or drunk...why don't you just be sober, and not stoned (sorry don't know if there's a better word :P ) when you post...

:) the chart idea was very clever. *i bow down to the charts* i could post sober, which i do the majority of the time. but now and then i drink, and ill admit i do have a problem, i drink to deal with sadness depression etc. but unless you wanna hear about all that then nvm lol.

idk i simply dislike lotr. may have been the greatest trilogy ever created, but thats not my opinion.

Soviet, i realize you enjoyed lotr, while you see my equal and opposite dislike for it, so im done with this. this is gunna end like the lst topic about trying to void opinions and such. so anyways.

Soviet wrote:Yeah, LOTR's plot is so ridiculous, it only created the entire fantasy genre as we know it today. Besides having the most intricate world ever created, it is a hell of a lot more than "walking to a volcano". You can oversimplify any plot like that if you so desire.

-Harry Potter is nothing more than a child wizard going to school.
-Donnie Darko is nothing more than a kid dealing with wormholes.
-Kill Bill is nothing but a bride seeking her revenge.
-The Titanic is nothing but a love story.
-The Dark Knight is nothing more than Batman fighting the Riddler.
-Star Wars is nothing more than a drawn out fight between the Jedi and the Sith.
-Casablanca is nothing but a love story.
-The Matrix is nothing more than a man finding out he lives in a virtual reality controlled by machines.
-12 Angry Men is nothing more than a jury reaching a verdict.
-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is nothing more than people erasing their memories.
-Die Hard is just a guy fighting some terrorists.

Above I have listed some mediocre movies, as well as some of the best movies ever made and most intricate plots ever designed. Note that regardless of the actual complexity, all of their plots can still be described in one sentence if I try. All you're doing is vastly oversimplifying what is commonly held as the greatest trilogy ever made, along with each individual movie easily in the running for one of the best movies ever made.

Here, have fun with this "simple" map of just the actions of each individual character in the movie, let alone how they all come together and the vast amount of underlying mythology and story. Also, feel free to check out the other maps below, including the beloved Star Wars to see the difference in complexity.

http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/movie_narra ... _large.png

Of course, if you really wanted to understand the world created in Lord of the Rings instead of just that brief glimpse, you'd have to read the 365 page book "The Silmarillion" to understand all the underlying ideas and mythologies that are very frequently alluded to, referenced, and actively involved in the story.

For the record I can put up with a lot of bullshit on this forum, but bashing LOTR goes too far.
Have you ever heard of different people having different opinions. Im not saying that LOTR are bad films, im just saying not everryone likes the same things.

First of all, I would like to congratulate Soviet's use of high density graphics in his post. I personally haven't seen the LoTR trilogy, just the first one, but I have no idea why I haven't seen the others. From what I remember, it was fucking sick. So sick that in CS:S, they have zombie escape maps based off the events in LoTR. Link to a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfRc9byzEKw (There are several maps, each one with a different objective, like getting the ring and throwing it into mount doom :D and yes, in most servers you can choose skins for both sides)

Now, on to zipperdude's incompetence. You blatantly changed your opinion after soviet made that post. Pre-post (best oxymoron ever?), you clearly stated that LoTR was a bad trilogy. And I quote, "the plot line of lotr is extremly pathetic , dragged out waaaaay to long, and not sufficent enough to actually even be a movie". Than post-post, you stated that in your opinion it was a bad trilogy, but it may have been good for people who are fans of the genre. I could go on and on about how you are just a unintelligent person in general, but is it really needed? (please say so if you would like me to, i'd be glad to do it ;D )

IMO, I think console player's recent involvement with CoDJumper has led to these kinds of people trolling the forums  (btw zipperdude, i'm not singling you out, hell I don't even know if your a console player, its just that people like you are often console players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD2yEJR4eOw&feature=sub)
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P
-Soviet
Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)
-Drofder 2004
Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs
-Soviet
Discussing Marshall's new camera lol^

:( i am console latly. someone else is using my cod4 key for pc so im SOL... :'(. but my heart belongs to pc. I used to map for cod1 i made a few jump maps but mostly focused on small maps for shooting with 1v1 to 5v5. i stopped because my eyes were getting worse and to the point that i would get migrins after stairing at radiant for hours lol.

you are right about my posts claiming different. i have a hard time writing what i think down. plus when i re-read it i get thrown the fuck off.

- off topic. my eyes and my brain, the connection is really fucked up wen it comes to writing what im thinking, plus since i have dislexia, it makes it a bitch. so basically when i write stuff on here, i do sound like a complete idiot but im not, and since its so hard for me to write properly, ill never really be able to show that im not, hard to understand. I know its an excuse, but still.

If you talked to me over vent or something, youd actually find that im very smart, know sentence structure, know "big words" and simply "smarter than when you read my crap on here"

Ill try to make best sense possible.

basically i dislike lotr. i slept thru the first one, the movie genre just inst for me. i cant say the movie was greatly shot because i hrdly paid attention. i have no honest opinion. i dont respect it because i cant. i never even watched it with a steady head to simply view a movie, if that makes sense.

And using them as an excuse. I am incredibly depressed and I have been for 4 years yet I don't resort to drugs and alcohol.

good job soviet. not on being depressed, but on not resorting to drugs and alcohol.

for me pot is a calmer, i have insomnia so i smoke it to sleep.

drinking on the other hands is a diff story. I got started on beer when i was 12. my brothers played beer pong quarters and i wanted to play. so after a while i was drinking nightly. when i was 16 it took me 28 beers to start being wobbly.

and KS i usually state "im drunk as fuck" or such a thing when my post made less sense then they usually do. I never state it to be anti social or a rebel without a cause, or to be "public enemy." just to clear it up.

I feel like im having an intervention... lol.

This is a joke right ?

You can't compare this since Hitler killed millions of people. If Hitler stayed the fuck where he was millions of Americans, Brits, Polish and other soldiers from different countries, Jewish people, all those millions of Russians might still be alive if that war was never there.

He's what people like to call an 'evil man'. And anyone who justifies his acts is a fucking retard. He hasn't done a single good thing. He only destroyed lives.

I'm no longer surprised by what you state though as seen from previous topics.

Your brother sounds like the perfect role model, I wish my brother helped to fuck up my life as much as he probably has yours :D

When i stated hitler i didnt mean because he killed everyone that wasnt like him. i ment more long the lines of the fact that he stood for what he beleived in.. tho intirely fucked up. he had huge amount of ppl following him. i have trouble gathering more than 20 active ppl for a clan when cod1 was first around. im not a neo-nazi or w.e. i just simply view what he had done as impressive. AGAIN not the fact that he is responsible for millions of deaths, he stood for what he beleived. i respect that.

and as for have fun with liver failure, responsible brothers etc drofter. it may seem that my family is partially responsible and practically llowed me to "fuck up my life" but the thing was, i alwys got good grades and always did good. i played varsity football as a quarter back, and have played sports since i could walk, my parents and family only had 2 rules.respect your family, and succeed in life.

i dont work and i have finished my semester for collage right now, but im not planing on going back as i have a kid on the way and a fiance to be wed. i have plenty of money to support me her and my kid, i enheireted a very large sum of money when my aunty died. i looked after her since i was 13. every day after school and all my spair time was spent with her from 13 till 18. when the rest of my family had practically abandoned her i decided to not turn my back on her. when she died i was crushed, in the will all of her belongings had been left to me, her money her homes her cars her everything.

this is actually scientifically impossible. After 28 beers, your BAC would be around .5, which is lethal levels. theres a reason everyone acts hostile towards you on the forums, and its because of inconsistensies like this.

that said, I enjoy a drink maybe once a month or so, but your behavior is absolutely unexcusable. You act as if you have no control over what is obviously rampant alchoholism. Get a grip, go to AA, and get a life again.
