It's a hobby. It's a collection, certainly not stupid. But I wouldn't do it either.

I was around during those stages, and I did own cards. the only thing we used to do with the cards was having throwing competitions, how far could they be thrown in the playground.

Yeh, Japanese are weird.

Pokemon is still going strong though.

yeah, we used to just trade them around and end up with stacks and stacks of cards.
I remember once when i was abhout 7 i asked my mum to buy me some cards, she bought me 3 or 4 packs for about £8 and i came back from school the next day after having swapping out all the shitty ones noone wants and i had about 12 cards out of the 50+ i took to school

Pokemon cards were banned at my school because someone gave a card to someone to hit another person
Anyway, I didn't pay much for my cards, but I managed to get quite a few rare ones

Got about 2 normal card decks worth of them in a draw in my room.

I remember them being banned at my school also, but I cannot remember why (or if a reason was even given)?
Bey-Blades, the Year 7 kids were playing them, but they lasted a week before they were never seen again...

I remember digimon's got banned at my school

Because we just played/battled each other all lesson. And they'd make noise when people's evolved or leveled (whatever they did).
