I would suggest bringing one of those blow dart gun with a knockout dart such as this:Drofder2004 wrote:I have seen documentaries of animal slaughter that use electro-devices than stun the creatures but getting hold of one with the strict laws in this country is near impossible. I do feel I require a more modern method than using a pitchfork as it does raise a few eyebrows when walking to my hunting grounds but usually I can avoid the attention as the alarms from police vehicles usually set off a panic amongst these rabid creatures and they scatter before I get a chance.
If he bought one, that would also alert the goverment to wonder what he wants wit ha silencer, not to mention the probable heavy taxes on silencers if he were to buy an "official" one. He could always attempt to make a custom one, but that would be difficult, unless he were to use a low caliber gun such as a .22 with a water bottle fitted on the end of it with some sort of cushion inside of it (something similar to that foam shit that you can blow out of a can into cracks in walls, I forget what it's called).BeZZo wrote:If you want a more "silent" kill, use a silencer
I never said they were illegal, just heavily taxed probablycianw1 wrote:Silencers are 100% legal to buy in UKthey are better to not alert the rest of the animals in the area.
The only problem with explosives is that most of them make shrapnel, which flies into various areas of your target, making it hard to get out of the meat. It would be easier to just stick with your pitchfork VATS system and spade.Drofder2004 wrote:I get my pitchforks from B&Q and my spades from overseas.
The pitchfork is subject to VAT but the spade is only subject to costs incurred for transportation and eventually a release fee.
I was thinking about buying a gun as it would allow me to hit more prey and at a distance, but I cannot guarantee a good silent kill without being upclose, its a lot easier and sneak up behind them and get a quick kill, but like I said it does have the negative effects of requiring a stray.
As the population of the creatures grow, I will have no choice to get a quicker method. Has anyone tried using explosives? I could place inside large fruit and lure them in and get many of them at once, but it would need to be a little quieter than your standard explsoive, maybe gas propelled BB's or something?
I never said I enjoyed it. I only said that it can be fun. You have some nice reading comprehension.Soviet wrote:The fact that you find killing defenseless animals with guns 'fun' is demented. Not to mention you're a coward.
Hmm, good point about the shrapnel. How about using something like gumballs or small gobstoppers. They are quite solid and yet edible. The spade is only good for helping me carry the meat back.Infinite wrote:The only problem with explosives is that most of them make shrapnel, which flies into various areas of your target, making it hard to get out of the meat. That would work fine, except I would question the lethality since I've never personally seen a gobstopper grenade or the effects of one going off. I would imagine it would be like molten/burned specks of candy flying into everything in all directions within 15 meters of it, and I would guess that it would be quite deadly.Drofder2004 wrote:Hmm, good point about the shrapnel.
