PS3 & PC Jumping

I'm confused atm, I don't think its the mouse and keyboard tbh. On PC, i can make a bounce to the landing spot, but on PS3, I jump from the same spot, bounce and don't get enough height.

What do you think it is? (This was was 60fps btw)

Depends if you set a maxfps and if you reached that maxfps constant.

Also, try it again and notice where you jump from. If you're jumping from earlier to reach the bounce then you're obviously jumping further, which significantly helps with bouncing.

I can do pipeline bounce no rpg with 60fps on PC (easily) but struggle on PS3.

Yeah, Chaaos told me that Pres & matty done it 60 fps w/o even aiming for the lamp post. I've been to the highest point of the first pipeline roof & jumped, doesn't seem like it's possible on the PS3 (w/o aiming for lamp post ofc).

If it's not where your jumping from, then it could just be that your not strafing well enough so your not hitting the bounce with enough speed.

Could be, but I don't see how a better strafe makes more speed, it gets more distance which means i'd just go over the bounce.

The reason your jumping farther is because your able to get more speed when you jump. If your jumping over the bounce, you could just jump from farther back.

Indeed, if you jump from further back then you have a greater velocity when you hit the bounce, so you bounce further/higher.

Bah, id say try to jump from the highest, but every1 say that. So anyway if you got keyboard and mouse you should reach it quite easily even from the highest. So just do it. but anyway gl

Is jump height a little higher on PC maybe?

Tbh, id think you re failing.

And no i believe fps on ps3 is 85 and i believe jump_height is 39 also.

you get more speed with mouse and keyboard because it's much easier to strafe with. You can't perform the same quality strafe with a controller no matter what.

Why don't you hook the PS3 controller up to pc and try with 60fps ? see if it makes a difference ?
