Server Connection ..

Hey guys.

I bought Cod4 a while ago and installed it, after that i could join normal servers(non-cracked).
But after playing it for a while, my internet connection got crappy(not because of the game).
Now i can't join any non-cracked server. What im trying to say is: I can only join cracked servers now.

So .. i got a problem with my internet connection..
I can login to xfire without problems and i can connect to some sites, but after a while if a refresh or going to snother site, it wont load.
And gives the error: Page can't be displayed .. blahblahblah.

Can somebody help me with this? I will be so thankfull

are you talking about timing out?

if so just type " timeout" its something delay not sure anymore anyway there will be a list, pick the good one and put the vallue higher, might let you join, or well i hope.

Nope.

If i want to connect to a normal server on UO or Cod4, you will see Cod saying: Awaiting Connection ... # (# = number).
On Cod4 i always get: Awaiting Connection ... 11 (after 11 it disconnect from the server), reconnect doesn't work at all.
On CodUO i get the same problem, but sometimes it goes to 27 and when i try to reconnect, i get the same prob as Cod4.

But on Cod4 if i join a cracked server, it just joins the server after: Awaiting Connection ... 4 .
At CodUO i 'sometimes' can join a normal server and i can always join Hungarian servers..

I hope you guys can help me out !

Well, as i said earlier you can change that timeout thing to be higher, so max would be like 30 and it might let u join at around 25 idk.

also did u try to join a server close to your location? would join faster and then might work

try re-entering your cd-key. Should be in the options somewhere.

Well, if youre seriously desesperated, i think thers some support forum from iw/activsion/treyarch or either you may call them, thers always a phone number somewhere in the lil manual.

hehe i can call them.. but.. its an uk or usa number.. im from holland.. so that will be a little to expensive xD

if you are having connections issues online as well as the game, you need to contact your ISP or tell them to shove it and stop paying them.
