At the moment my price list is
Code: Select all
Graphics card:1GB GTX280 Gigabyte
Mobo:MSI P45 Platinum
CPU:INTEL 775Pin E8600
PSU:ASUS U-65GA 650W
Case:Antec 1200
TOTAL=1,354
My budget is $AUD1,500. I already have RAM, hard drives, DVD drive etc, and I have parts from my old pc, in case I need a fan or something. I was just wondering if the CPU and GPU choices are any good, and if they would work well together, also is that motherboard any good?.

Mobo:

CPU:

GPU:

PSU:

EDIT:I heard some horrific stories of the cheap SHAW PSU, so I've changed it to an ASUS, also had to downgrade the case to keep it under 1,500.

Ah ok, well I was looking at the i7's, but they are so expensive, almost half my budget.

Change case to Antec 300 and you'll be able to afford an i7 (MAYBE!) If not, buy a Q9400 (costs like £200) but if you're good with PC's I recommend you buy a Q6600 and overclock it to like 3.2 Ghz.

Yeah I probably will end up getting the Antec 300, but the 1200 is so sexy

You fail. I'd have to be quite an American, as you Europeans say, to not see the original link when I quoted him and saw the IMG tags around the link, thus it wasn't worth posting that I knew about it. The whole point is that we have to register on another site to see the image, which is why it's fail
