if im right 80 gives you a larger area to see than 65?

Two things, you should try setting fov to ridiculously high level, it's quite fun

also, i like fov 80 cuz it reminds me of the fov in other games, like games produced by valve, and it just seems "right", if you know what i mean. Realism doesn't really matter to me because i don't really find shooting people and getting shot recreationally very realistic lol, that would suck IRL. (not like airsoft or painball, REAL guns)

Game settings all depend on who's playing, end of story x.x.

I don't really care much about realism either because most games are unreal xD.
