cod3 for the wii was actually decent (graphics and gameplay) but was it worth the $30 i spent for it? no.

Update: How 2 Patch WaW by yourself:

Josh, Treyarch community manager

Hi PC fans!
So as I stated in my PC 1.2 Patch Details Sticky, one issue the 1.2 patch will address are some of the Server Authentication Failure messages. Hopefully it will get the majority of them, but there's just no telling (which is why I say "some"), and here's why:...

...bla bla

The Workaround:
Simply setting the rate at which the game browser tries to populate all the server info seems to help the issue. The unfortunate side-effect...

...bla bla (follow Step 1-5)

...Hope that helps the issue. Again, this isn't a perfect solution...

Thanks,
-JD

..bla :D

We are aware that /record is not on this list, but are happy to say we’ve already begun working on a Patch 1.3 which will address /record. More details on that patch will emerge after the 1.2 release.
ALREADY?! It's ONLY been 3 months after all.

EDIT: hmm I have just found a link to patch 1.2 http://extreme.planetcallofduty.gamespy ... hSetup.exe

Not sure if it's real as I haven't seen it anywhere else, but imo it looks like it is. 500 MB

EDIT again:

As such, I wanted to shed some light on precisely what Patch 1.2 has fixed. But first, I’d like to introduce a NEW MAP we’ve included in this patch – Makin Day.

well, cod:waw jumping has now been officially fucked anally.
Items addressed in 1.2:
# Free Multiplayer Map! The tide is out and the sun is high – this daytime version of Makin sheds new light on the battle!
# Fixed exploits that allowed for power ranking servers.
# Fixed router related server authentication errors.
# Fixed HTTP Redirect functionality for downloading mods
# Fixed sound device crashes stemming from Emulated Sound Devices
# Fixed exploit which allowed players to color their name tag.
# Hits now register properly while targeted player is leaning.
# Enabled /cg_drawfps in multiplayer games.
# Fixed command-line +connect functionality
# /cg_fov no longer resets to the default value in between matches.
# Dedicated servers automatically reconnect to the Master Server in case the Master Server resets.
# "Accept Game Invite" is bound to its default key, F10.
# Implemented fix for attempting to join password protected servers from the server browser.
# Fine tuned Bolt-Action Rifles for balance.
# Screenshots no longer overwrite each other.
# Fixed various multiplayer map related issues and exploits.
am i blind? did i miss something? No where in that can i find anything about bayonet jumping which they certainly said that it would be in patch 1.2. At least they fixed the items in bold, which are the most important (imo)

+1, I was thinking that cod:waw might get better with patch 1.2. No bayonet jumps, record available, cg_drawfps working. That's what was supposed to happen with patch 1.2. GG, Treyarch, you just lost another few hundred thousand customers. Looks like what ever hope i had in Treyarch just got shot and gang-banged.

When a person says
They've fixed a LOT of jumps
I assume that it means a lot, and not about 10 or so. Began to play and not as much was fixed as i thought. Pres needs to work on his wording next time :s.

the lack of a /record function makes this patch a fucking disappointment in itself. This is one of the biggest features missing, nobody gave 2 shits about this "new" map, which I can imagine is simply some sunlight and no water. I am not impressed. This patch was talked about by Dev's back in Nov '08.

I was expecting slightly more than the odd bug fix and a map being tidied up.
