Windows 7 BETA has been circulating around on some torrent sites for a few weeks now, but finally it has been officially released. It has been said that this OS is much faster than both Vista and XP.

I tried downloading this last night, helium, after talking to you, but it failed cause IE7 decided to go tits up. Il try with mozilla today.

I've installed Windows 7 on my laptop now and it really does feel smoother and faster. It has some really annoying new features though, so it took me an hour or two to find ways to reset some settings so it looks more like XP.

If you like Vista, you will absolutely love this. If you're an XP fan, it's going to take a while to get used to all these new settings, but luckily you can make this look and feel like XP.

I'm giving thumbs up for this OS

It's working okay so far except it won't let me access my own Documents and Settings folder

yea, I figured it out though. You had to change I highly secret setting on the folder to gain access.

right click -> personalize, click the second theme and it will start a truly awesome slideshow, like 15 mins a picture or something. Its a fantastic feature, going to set myself some nice wallpapers to change hourly or something.
