keyboard and speaker pair
Hi.
Ive been using my dads z10 speakers with the same screen as the g15 (same plugins etc) and i love them. the sound is immense, the quality is just top notch for 2.0 speakers (i do like more but my room just isnt right for 2.1/5.1/7.1 setups) I particularly like the bass on these.
Ive also been after a new keyboard, with backlighting being almost essential. I took my eye to the g15, which looks about right. It is a little pricey, but its not JUST a keyboard with its functions and backlighting and screen.
Thing is, i dont want to end up with 2 screens (if this is a bad thing?) Because i am very interested in buying the z10 speakers too (not my dads, new ones).
I looked at the G11 but for the £8 or 9 extra you pay I think the difference, being the screen and the orange backlight etc to be worth the difference. I was thinking that for the same quality speakers but without the screen would it be about the same as the keyboards in difference of price?
Can anyone advise me on what to do? I definately want ONE screen at least.
I could buy the z10s which i know are amazing quality and the g15, resulting in paying about £120 but getting two screens
I could buy the z10s with a different keyboard, but for the same quality with everything except the screen youre only looking at around £10 difference.
Finally, I can buy the g15 and a different pair of speakers. This could be the cheapest for value, I dont know how much im looking at paying for the z10 quality without the screen.
I really would like to buy the G15 keyboard because the screen would be easier to use, but i dont want to be let down by buying a different speaker set.
The final thought just came into my head, buying the g15 and buying a different 2.0 speaker set for the same price as the z10s. Im not sure, but i love the z10s as they are.

I want it to be nice and neat with TWO speakers though. I already have a 2:1 speaker set but its getting a bit broken now (hisses after a while) and the bass is nowhere near the quality as these.
I am really liking the Z10s, but what about conflict between the two lcd panels?

meh, i thought if you saw something which stood out and you liked it would usually be better to buy. I am looking for a new pair of speakers, and I'm asking for an opinion on which should be better. I want an improvement than the ones ive got, not just a replacement. The ones ive got work, but i think it would be nice to buy a GOOD speaker set. I'm not looking for a decent set. Im wanting a very nice set, they look good, weigh a fair bit (i think thats good) and the sound is very warm and vibrant.KillerSam wrote:Yet again you are looking at reasons to spend money that you simply don't need to.
You would be paying all of that extra money for a screen which you don't need (After getting a G15). Just get a decent set of normal speakers (bare in mind that logitech will be putting the same components essentially into all of their speakers).
If that isnt the case and its a bad idea, what do you suggest for the same quality or better? Bear in mind that i am only interested in a 2.0 set and that I would like it to have a sufficient bass.

My brother picked these up from Maplins in a rush to fix old ones and these small speakers can put out a very large amount of room shaking.

They look alright but I would rather have a 2.0 set because I dont have the positioning for a subwoofer.

I bought my G15 keyboard today and the backlight rocks so much.
The 2 LCD screens work a dream together, one showing my MSN status and messages, the other showing my music track details or lyrics. Going to get a Temperature monitor for my CPU GPU etc for the keyboard. Its amazing, im getting the speakers soon too.
