I got this new 19 inch widescreen lcd monitor and down the center going vertically, theres a blurry spot on it.

Hard to notice it unless you focus on it.

Does anyone know what it is or if its fixable?

Never heard of anything like that, try running one of those online screen dead pixel fixers (lol) and see if you can see it, it might fix it, other than that, whack it, then take it back to the store.

Have you clicked the 'auto' button on your monitor (they usually have one, for automatic adjustment)

I was having problems with blurry spots on my monitor for months until i simply pressed 'auto', its nice and sharp and perfect now.
