So i take it some of you have heard of Lovefilm? If not let me explain a bit more about it.
Its a rental service, you sign up on a deal that could be unlimited rentals and you can have 2 discs at once, or 5 rentals per month and have 1 at a time, all of these change the cost of the service.
Anyway, i stumbled across some codes for promotional 90 day free trials, working perfectly. All you do is sign up with these codes, complete the process and voila you have 90 days free. (Requires a credit card for sign-up, because this will be the card that WILL be billed unless you cancel in time.)
Just sign up how you would normally after entering the code on the Homepage (at the right hand side where it says start free trial, type code in and hit enter). During signup you come to a page where you choose your service type (rentals per month etc). Here, in the descrition for the service there is a bracket with 'want to rent games?' or something in it. Just hit that and it will pop up with the games packages. By the way, on a games package you can still rent dvds, blurays and HDDVD's (i think HDDVD is still around?). Just choose the best package, you wont be paying anything for any of them anyway.
Stated during signup, 'if you cancel before your 90 day trial ends, you will not be charged' or something similar, i cant remember. Anyway, basically you gotta cancel about a week before the subscription ends to make sure you get the discs gone in time.
So when youre on the site have a look around, when you see something yo uwant to rent just click rent. I have 18 titles on my list to be rented at some point (including all the latest xbox 360 games and family guy series 7). When you have a list set up, wait a few hours, maybe a day (mine changed half an hour ago, about 20 hours after signing up, and remember people are using this company for christmas rentals too.) and your list will be updated and there will be 3 titles 'dispatching soon'.
Out of my list i am recieving colin mcrae dirt, skate and ORANGE BOX. Not the titles I wanted, I didnt understand the priority system, and how to assign discs to different lists that you make.
These are going to be sent out to me soon, I'll recieve them, blast through Half life 2, not too bothered about skate, and complete colin mcrae dirt. Gets me a few games to have a play around with, and a few gamerscores
.I couldnt reccomend this enough, its a fantastic service, especially for free. God knows, I might even continue my subscrition if it works well.
