Is it possible to watch a demo in third person when the demo isn't recorded with cg_thirdperson set to 1 ?
I was wondering cause I want to start making a movie of jumps and it would be nice to have some in thirdperson (and thirdpersonangle). Otherwise I have to redo all jumps in thirdperson and that would be too hard and timeconsuming

Yes.
But I believe you have to have devmap on to a server first to turn off the cheats (unconfirmed). So example /devmap mp_carentan

Then /disconnect
..
/demo demoname; timescale 0.1 (I always do the timescale before the demo loads, this way it slows the demo down, and you do not miss anything )
/cg_thirdperson 1
/timescale 1

Thx m8 that worked like a charme. Before I didn't type it in console but used the shortcut keys.....I can asure you that doesn't work

I also whondered how he did it in demos, I know how to do it in-game (with cheats on) but I had no clue on how to do it while checking demos or whatsoever...

Yeah, every time I tried it on a demo it said about Cheats not enabled, although I found out the solution a few weeks ago - Drofder beat me to it

Only reason, I had only just finished doing it with my own demos and come off, and there was the question

there is an easier way!!!
right-click on your CoD Multiplayer shortcut > Properties
go to the second tab

there should be a line after "Path" which says something like:
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe"

add this after that line +set sv_cheats 1
so that line should become: "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe" +set sv_cheats 1
no need to devmap a map and disconnect

you can bind the keypad keys for use during demo's
for that choose any keypad key (i.e. KP_PLUS, KP_HOME, KP_PGDN, etc)

Bindable keys during demos are F-Keys, Keypad, Arrow Keys.

I only use 2 keys to do that... n and backspace

Backspace = Demo (that was the default key in a script given to me)
and n = name (toggles between 2 names )

go on CoD and type /sv_cheats in console...

the message says, "sv_cheats is cheat protected"

In other words cannot be changed
